Nurse Ratched has utterly imposed her will upon the patients under her care. She has sheltered them and directed their every move for their own benefit, or so she claims. To be fair, the patients have capitulated in their imprisonment and are all to eager to see the therapy in Nurse Ratched's methods. It takes a new admission, Randle P. McMurphy, to shake the patients from their tranquilized state and force them to behold what has been sacrificed to the "Big Nurse."

 

The patients become McMurphy's participants in a gamble to see how far he can push Nurse Ratched. How deep do McMurphy's convictions run and is he willing to lay it all on the line to stay true to his beliefs? Are the patients ready to stand for their own cause?
